I want to support Liam in his recovery!

After trying the conventional route, it's time for something new. But as many of you probably know, Lyme and chronic infections aren't exactly well understood—and even less well treated.

So many people have to try treatments that insurance won't cover. I know people who've spent close to a hundred thousand dollars trying to get well. Some travel to Mexico, others to Germany. Some get stem cell transplants in Asia.

After years of studying the latest research, reading books, seeing how Liam reacts to treatments and finally understanding what Lyme really means, I've come to a decision. The best course of action for Liam is apheresis:  blood cleansing.

Liam will need about fifteen rounds of it. Plus several rounds of hyperthermia, blood oxygenation, herbs, antibiotics, and other treatments adjusted along the way. All at the apheresis center in Cyprus, under the care of Dr. Inbar.

We spent an hour talking with her. Liam said this is where he wants to do his treatment. He likes the doctor. So do I. A Lyme specialist, eager to get Liam better.

Liam has eight-plus infections and six-plus viruses. It's a lot. It will take patience. It won't be easy. Liam knows all of this. He's ready.

But it comes with a price tag. Total bill: 32,000 euros. Plus flights. Plus two months in an Airbnb. We're looking at 36,000 euros.

We were prepared to pay a lot, but this is more than we can manage on our own. So we're hoping to raise 15,000 euros to get Liam the full treatment.

Thank you, in advance, to anyone who supports Liam. Financially for his treatment, or emotionally, even from far away.

How is Liam doing now?

Liam is currently out of school for the semester. He is getting ready for his big treatment, sleeps ok, talks with friends, does daily walks and is very hopeful.

What else can I do?
