3 weeks in...

...and still pretty tired.

Well, you know teens, it's hard to get them in photos. So this is as much as I could manage to share with you. LOL. Here's the big machine and a bit of Liam's body.

Liam spends about three days a week there and rests in between treatments. There are six machines in that room with three nurses, and no one is allowed in because the room needs to stay quiet for the patients. Most people sleep in there, but Liam likes to watch YouTube. It takes his mind off both arms being stuck with needles. The nurses are really nice, and the staff has been very supportive. We have weekly meetings with the doctor, and this week we also had an appointment with the on-site nutritionist, who is a Lyme specialist as well.

So far, though, we aren't seeing much improvement. If anything, Liam is even more tired. Apparently that's quite normal. We're only at the beginning of the treatment, and things should get worse before they get better.

Two more weeks of treatment, including the introduction of hyperthermia, and then we're on a ten-day break! Whoot whoot. We'll take a couple of days to explore the southeastern tip of Cyprus. The water is supposed to be beautiful and there are sandy beaches. Even though we're comfortable in our apartment and the area, I'm really looking forward to seeing something a bit different. I hope that Liam will like the little get away.
